    Playtots - Parent & Tot Playgroup is a great way for parents & tots to learn and develop together.

    Under the guidance and supervision of our experienced staff member, Joelle Johnston, each one hour class will include a little music, story time, movement, arts & crafts and free play. The program will focus on sensory skills and socialization specific to each age level.

    This semi-structured program will offer plenty of free play time in our child safe playroom.

    311080 - Basketball Camps - Half Day

    Individual Skill Development Camp


    Players will work on the following skills:
    - ball handling
    - dribbling
    - passing
    - one on one moves
    - rebounding
    - defense
    - shooting
    - team play

    About the Coach: Tom was a 3 year starter for Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT and played collegiately at Connecticut College. At Jonathan Law, Tom was named to the 1994 All-Area Team and was a 1994 First Team New Haven Tap Off Club award recipient. Tom finished his career at Jonathan Law with 826 points and 302 assists. Tom has been a REBA youth basketball coach for the past couple of years and led the Preseason Fall REBA basketball clinics.

    Pat Yerina, Head Boys Basketball Coach at Joel Barlow High School

    Camp Philosophy: Our goal is to insure that every camper who attends this Basketball Camp will have the most enjoyable experience possible.

    The camp is designed so that each individual will leave the camp a more complete and polished player. The daily schedule consists of proper stretching techniques, station work drills, individual shooting fundamentals, team offensive and defensive strategies, along with contests and games.

    The camp staff will include Joel Barlow varsity head basketball coach Pat Yerina and current varsity players.

    Patrick Yerina Basketball Bio

    Pat was a four year starter at Fairfield University and helped lead the stags to its first NCAA appearance in 1986. He scored over 1,200 points in his four year career and was inducted into the Fairfield University Hall of Fame in 1999.

    He has been a high school basketball coach in Connecticut for over 30 years. During his 21 years coaching at Bunnell High School in Stratford, his teams captured the Class L State Championship in 2015, four SWC league championships, and eight SWC division championships. He is a two-time CT Post Coach of the Year, New Haven Register Coach of the Year and a USA Today Connecticut Coach of the Year. Pat began his head coaching career at Barlow in the early 90s and is currently in his second stint as head boys basketball coach at the high school.

    314040 - Tennis Camp - Half Day

    Please note this camp runs 9AM12:30PM Monday - Friday.Please bring your own junior tennis racquet
    This camp introduces the fundamentals of tennis tochildren using games and exercises that build confidence. We emphasize fun, not competitive stress, with every child developing racquet skills, focus, agility and, most importantly, sportsmanship. No matter the skill level of your child, he or she will learn the correct way to hit shots, move on the court and observe the rules of the game. The children also get an hour of physical and mental exercise as they learn the sport of tennis. ECC Tennis Camp takes place on the ECCs air conditioned indoor court.

    Looking for a great way to exercise and have fun at the same time? Beginning intermediate as well as experienced advanced players welcomed. Beginners are taught the basics and more advanced principles of the sport. While the beginners are being taught the intermediate/advanced players can just play. Every game is set up by the instructor to be both balanced and fun. Badminton is an Olympic sport, this is not your summer backyard game. Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the world. Birds have been clocked at international competition at over 200 miles per hour.

    321590 - Skateboarding

    This class will show the rider how to ride a skateboard. Starting with the basics learn the art of riding and balancing on the board. Then those that are ready, will be instructed at beginner, intermediate, and even expert level skateboarding tricks. With careful instruction every rider will feel prepared to take on any obstacle within their skill level with confidence. The class will include proper stretching and cardio techniques before every rider jumps on the board. Helmets are mandatory for all skaters and elbow and knee pads are needed for the beginner level participants. This class is tailored for all ages.

    401180 - Archery Instruction

    Come to the ECC and test your skill on the new archery range. Learn some of the basics in our instructional class or come down and just practice during the open range class. These do require pre-registration so we can provide proper time and equipment to make sure your archery session enjoyable. Our range moves indoors during the winter months so you can enjoy archery year round. While at the range please follow the instructor commands at all times to ensure safety. Keep an eye out for Robin Hood himself; you never know when he may come back for a visit!
