This class will provide every child with the skills that will help them develop an appreciation and enjoyment of the game. Each player will be given individual attention.     205840 - Dog Obedience

    Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old and have had their rabies vaccination.
    Puppies generally get a series of distemper vaccinations at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks and sometimes 18 weeks.
    Puppies should have had at least 2 of the DHL2PP distemper vaccinations before starting class.
    Instructor Jason Hofmann:
    Jason is an ABC (Animal Behavior College) certified dog trainer. He uses the latest in positive motivational techniques, to make training enjoyable for both you and your puppy/adult dog.

    Jason believes and has said that "All dogs should have some kind of training. The earlier in its life the better (puppy training can begin as early as 8 weeks). Training helps open communication and strengthen the bond between the dog and you."

    221590 - Skateboarding

    This class will show the rider how to ride a skateboard. Starting with the basics learn the art of riding and balancing on the board. Then those that are ready, will be instructed at beginner, intermediate, and even expert level skateboarding tricks. With careful instruction every rider will feel prepared to take on any obstacle within their skill level with confidence. The class will include proper stretching and cardio techniques before every rider jumps on the board. Helmets are mandatory for all skaters and elbow and knee pads are needed for the beginner level participants. This class is tailored for all ages.

    About the Coach: Tom was a 3 year starter for Jonathan Law High School in Milford, CT and played collegiately at Connecticut College. At Jonathan Law, Tom was named to the 1994 All-Area Team and was a 1994 First Team New Haven Tap Off Club award recipient. Tom finished his career at Jonathan Law with 826 points and 302 assists. Currently, Tom is the Boy’s JV basketball coach at Joel Barlow High School and a REBA youth basketball coach.

    313640 - Explore The Beach and More

    EXPLORERS CAMPERS ONLY!


    Your child will travel to Fairfield Beach or another local venue (Weather Permitting). The Bus will leave the ECC at approximately 9:15am and return just in time for lunch. Our counselors will keep a watchful eye on the children as they engage in swimming, beach sports and games while enjoying the sun. Please make sure they have applied plenty of Sun Block at home to protect them from sunburn. Our counselors are not allowed to apply this during camp so please make sure they are protected. If you prefer your child to stay at the ECC, than we will have other activities facilitated by our counselors that will be run onsite to entertain them until the other group returns. (The ECC must meet the minimum number of sign-ups necessary to run the beach trips. Please register in advance.)

    314310 - Wanderers & Little Leader Camps

    The summer Wanderers Camp runs for ten weeks and is designed to provide a summer full of fun activities for young campers who were in Pre K, Kindergarten and First Grade during the 2021-22 school year.
    Please pack a snack - Lunch is provided.

    The Little Leaders camp is for children ages 3 and 4. The camp runs from 9am-12pm every day in the weekly enrollment. Please pack a snack - Lunch is available for an additional fee which covers the cost of lunch and staff.

    The full day program runs from 9AM until 4PM. Please note that we do not advise Wanderers age campers to participate in the late pick up option as such a long day is difficult for this age group.

    The ECC does not use any CIT’s (counselors in training). Each staff member is specially selected for their skills and attributes with the younger age group. Under the guidance and supervision of our experienced staff, Wanderers campers will enjoy a wide variety of activities. These include:

    Movement Skills - Developing and improving hand-eye coordination and movement coordination that will enhance dexterity and balance.

    Mini Sports - Scaled down versions of a variety of popular sports with adapted equipment. Each sport is taught within an adventure type environment.

    Story Time - Our counselors will read from traditional favorites to modern children's literature.

    Arts & Crafts - A wide spectrum of art and craft activities that will introduce campers to a variety of art forms and an opportunity to explore their own unique imagination.

    LUNCH IS INCLUDED.
